UPLAND PATHWORKER
Person required for a team of upland pathworkers for contracts throughout Scotland, working and living within a small team in sometimes remote and mountainous areas, starting in the spring. This is a short term position from April to September, subject to weather conditions and availability of work during and after these dates.

Person required for a team of upland pathworkers for contracts throughout Scotland, working and living within a small team in sometimes remote and mountainous areas, starting in the spring. This is a short term position from April to September, subject to weather conditions and availability of work during and after these dates.
Suitable applicant will have to be able to work and live remote for 8 days at a time, be sociable and flexible, and work well in a team. They will have to endure all that the Scottish weather can throw at them and be physically fit as most contracts entail a walk-in of over an hour and the work is extremely strenuous and physically demanding. Although the ideal applicant should have experience in Upland Footpath work using traditional dry stone techniques, enthusiasm and ability to work hard are essential. A full drivers licence is preferred as driving may be part of the duties. Applicants with good experience in neighbouring disciplines ie, landscaping, stonework, estate work, and rangering will be taken seriously, but previous upland footpath work experience is preferred.
